In motion
As the viewer changes position, painted portrait and silver mirror details separate and reconnect. Reflections change with the room, so light becomes part of the movement rather than a fixed effect.

About This Artwork
I have a Dream is a layered pop art portrait of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father of the United Arab Emirates. The title introduces ideas of vision and aspiration, while silver mirror details make light and the surrounding space part of the image itself. Created in 2018, painted portrait and reflection shift in relation to one another as the viewer moves, allowing the work to connect memory, place and changing perspective.
