About This Artwork
100 USD Mick Jagger is a large triptych featuring Mick Jagger of The Rolling Stones within the graphic structure of the US dollar bill. Across the work, Mick Jagger’s portrait and currency imagery occupy separate plexiglass planes, connecting rock celebrity, fame, value and pop iconography. Created in 2022, the layered plexiglass construction makes the image shift as the viewer moves from one panel to the next rather than remaining a conventional static celebrity portrait.
