In motion
Seen from different angles, Andy Warhol’s portrait and the dollar-bill graphics separate across the triptych’s plexiglass layers. The image fragments and reconnects as the viewer moves along its full width.

About This Artwork
100 USD Andy Warhol is a large triptych portraying Andy Warhol inside the graphic language of the US dollar bill. The combination connects portrait, fame, money and the history of pop art without simply reproducing an Andy Warhol image. Painted across layered plexiglass, Andy Warhol’s face and the currency details separate and reconnect as the viewer moves along the work. Created in 2017, it is one of Fabian PhiL’s Signature Works and a direct dialogue with a defining figure of Pop Art.
